Aug 13th, 2025 Quarterly Training Meeting

This training is for stakes in the Omaha Nebraska Coordinating Council and those connected to disaster response, including stake disaster response specialists, communication directors and JustServe specialists.

Charles followed up with everyone on the state of their emergency plans. Stake councils decide how detailed or simple this plan is. Suggestions were to start small, set up a plan for internal communication and focus on what the Church can offer organizations without the aid of stake members. Once stake plans develop further, more assistance can be offered.

We then discussed how to contact county emergency managers.

Homework for Nov: contact your main county emergency manager. Let them know the ways your stake is ready to help. If your stake is not ready to help, share the resources the church has in terms of humanitarian aid (see document linked below).
